CLT Alliance Staff

The Charlotte Business Journal this week released its 2026 list of 40 Under 40 Award winners. Of the honorees, 17 are employees of Charlotte Regional Business Alliance investor companies.

The annual list highlights 40 people under the age of 40 — young professionals who play key roles in the Charlotte Region’s workforce and community. CBJ characterizes the honorees as “rising stars in their respective career fields and emerging leaders in the local community.”

Around 300 candidates were nominated by their colleagues, contacts, or themselves, CBJ said. The news organization evaluated each nominee’s impact on the Charlotte Region and narrowed the list down to 40 winners. Of those, 17 work at companies that invest in the CLT Alliance:

  • Bonnie Almond, Tepper Sports & Entertainment
  • Andrew Ashur, Lucid Bots
  • Courtney Ballard, Trane Technologies
  • Jermaine Barnes, Messer Construction Co.
  • Nadia Campbell, Davidson College
