Hundreds show up for CLTivate Community, CLT Alliance’s second annual nonprofit exhibition

Jessica Ruderman

More than 60 nonprofits and hundreds of community members gathered at Legacy Union in Uptown Charlotte for the second annual CLTivate Community, presented by Coca-Cola Consolidated, drawing a bigger crowd than last year’s inaugural event.

Hosted by the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, the free drop-in event connects local nonprofits with volunteers, supporters, and corporate partners. Participating organizations showcased ways to get involved, from volunteering to joining a committee or serving on a board.

For the nonprofits, the results were clear. In a post-event survey of participating organizations:

  • 90% made meaningful connections with the Charlotte business community
  • 80% recruited new volunteers
  • 95% would consider returning next year

The feedback for the event was overwhelmingly positive:

“It’s a wonderful, well-organized, feel-good event. Both years have allowed us to meet and connect with dozens of visitors to our table.”

“We really loved the amount of traffic and interest – we stayed busy the whole time chatting with new connections!”

“I am new to our organization and the Charlotte nonprofit ecosystem, so this was a great way for me to continue to piece together the landscape we all work together in!”

“The people who stopped by our table were exactly the kinds of volunteers and supporters we need – people who are engaged, community-minded, and excited to find meaningful ways to make a difference.”

By linking the region’s business community with the nonprofits that strengthen it, CLTivate Community advances CLT Alliance’s vision to create the most vibrant, innovative, and healthy economy in the nation.

Plans for 2027 have not yet been finalized. To get involved, contact Kyle Brun.
