NASCAR’s Keselowski expands Iredell Co. manufacturing operation

Statesville-based Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing (KAM) is planning a $4.8 million expansion of its existing operations, according to the Iredell County Economic Development Corp.

KAM will expand its existing operations to satisfy current customer needs and to acquire a new line of business in the defense contracting sector, Iredell County developers reported.

KAM is vertically integrated, through simulation and design engineering, serial production manufacturing and with Additive Manufacturing and CNC capabilities. KAM is comprised of top engineering and machining talent who excel within innovation, creativity, and problem solving.

Through partnerships with some of the world’s leading manufacturers and research universities, KAM develops groundbreaking, custom solutions for several industries, including aerospace, defense, energy, automotive, and performance motorsports.

In accordance with Iredell County’s Economic Development Incentive Policy the board of commissioners approved an economic development incentive grant on Feb. 1 to Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing for up to $52,608 based on a capital investment total of $4,785,000 and the minimum creation of 10 jobs, up to 16 jobs at or above $59,411. The grant is performance-based and would be payable over 3 years at 75% of the new assessed tax value.
