Improving interview techniques | How to identify and hire top talent

Finding top talent is one of the most important challenges facing companies across the Charlotte Region. The ability to build a strong team plays an integral role in a business’s long-term success.

An upcoming workshop this month will equip participants with skills to create effective interview questions that evaluate a candidate’s competence and cultural fit. Hosted by Search Solution Group, the lunch and learn event aims to provide insights for hiring managers, HR professionals, and anyone involved in the recruitment process.

Attendees will learn how to avoid common interviewing mistakes, explore different question types, and understand the reasons behind asking each question. This will enable them to customize their approach to ensure the selection of the best candidate for their team. The workshop will transform interview questioning from an art into a strategic skill, ensuring alignment with the company’s culture and team dynamics.

“I’m thrilled to share that I’ll lead a workshop on crafting effective interview questions,” Erin Gregory, executive recruiter and junior partner at Search Solution Group, said. “This event is perfect for anyone who is involved in hiring, whether you’re an experienced hiring manager or just starting out. It’s a great opportunity to exchange insights and network with other professionals in our community. I’m really excited to share my expertise and help attendees enhance their recruitment skills.”

Recognized as Charlotte’s top Retained and Contingent Search Firm, Search Solution Group is a nationally recognized, full-service executive search, direct hire, and staffing firm forging the connection between organizations and uniquely qualified candidates. Founded in Buffalo, NY, the firm relocated to Charlotte in 2006 and has grown from a small boutique firm to a multi-divisional company, employing more than 100 recruitment professionals at their headquarters in the South End of Charlotte.

The event, “Choosing the Right Interview Questions: Leadership Interview Workshop,” led by Erin Gregory and Greg Moores, is scheduled to take place on May 14th at the company’s headquarters. Interested participants can register here.
