High-tech engineering firm plans expansion at Iredell HQ campus

Corvid Technologies, a Mooresville-based company that provides complex engineering solutions for a wide variety of industries, is planning to expand its headquarters and operations, creating 54 new jobs in the Charlotte Region.

Founded in 2004, Corvid Technologies provides technology-based solutions for aerospace, defense, military, motorsports, and other industries.

Corvid plans to invest $30 million at its Iredell County campus at Langtree to manufacture products that are engineered and designed for the company’s clients. The average wage of the 54 new positions is expected to pay above the county’s average.

Earlier this month, the Town of Mooresville and Iredell County Board of Commissioners individually approved incentives for the project. Additionally, the Mooresville Board of Commissioners approved a rezoning request initiated by the Town of Mooresville to allow for the expansion.

In 2018, the company announced an expansion in Mooresville with the purchase of land and a $28 million investment in two buildings. Last year, Corvid purchased 66 acres of adjacent property. According to Iredell County EDC, “the ultimate plan is to build out a campus that would bring together research and development, design, training, manufacturing, and warehousing to support their clients and the industries they serve.”
