Charlotte Region Commercial Board of REALTORS® announces Annual Awards winners, 2023 leadership team

The Charlotte Region Commercial Board of REALTORS® (CRCBR) recognized outstanding contributions within our community and commercial real estate at last week’s CRCBR annual meeting. 

“CRCBR is fortunate to have active and committed members in a thriving community.  Celebrating and reflecting on the past year is a great way to close the year,” Theresa Burnett, CRCBR executive vice president, said. 

CRCBR is a trade association dedicated to serving the commercial real estate interests throughout the Charlotte Region. Its membership includes the leading commercial brokerage firms and property owners from across the region.

2022 award winners included:

  • Legend Award – Cindy Chandler, The Chandler Group
  • Cornerstone Award – Alyson Craig, Interim Planning Director, City of Charlotte
  • President’s Award – Marty McLaughlin, Park Commercial Real Estate
  • Industry Leadership Award – Matt Harper, Childress Klein Properties
  • Committee Chair of the Year Award – William Hodges, Piedmont Capital
  • Industry Partner Award – Terry Martin, Vari

During the Annual Meeting, CRCBR also commemorated a “year back to basics” with the organization remaking programs to connect commercial real estate practitioners in our region.  

“This has been an unbelievable year to refresh and reset our programs,” Brett Gray, 2022 president said. “From awesome speakers during the awards and annual meetings to the fall event with more than 200 commercial real estate people networking. We continue to update to be relevant to the commercial real estate industry.”

In 2023, CRCBR will be celebrating its 30th anniversary. 

“It will be an exciting year celebrating the anniversary while providing our members with networking, development and community involvement opportunities,” Kim Kendall, 2023 president said.

The 2023 board officers slate will include:

  • President — Kim Kendall, Colliers International
  • President Elect — Marshall Williamson, Lincoln Harris
  • Vice President — Zach McLaren, Cresa
  • Secretary — Matt Treble, Cushman & Wakefield
  • Treasurer — Ryan Thompson, Childress Klein Properties
  • Immediate Past President — Brett Gray, Cushman & Wakefield
