The Right Mix of Tenants
Northwood has carefully curated a lineup of tenants that resonates with what the community wants.
The newest tenant, Honeysuckle Gelato, offering a unique, delicious, and Southern take on gelato, will start serving up scoops, pints, gelato sandwiches, & milkshakes on June 28.
Flower Child, a health-focused eatery that delights with its fresh, wholesome menu, opened on May 21. Bringing a taste of Italy to Ballantyne with its handcrafted pizzas, pasta and seasonal dishes, North Italia opened on May 29. The Bowl’s anchor tenant, The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, opened on June 1, serving up a variety of craft beers and hearty pub fare and complete with a 1-acre biergarten.
Bossy Beulah’s, Harriet’s Hamburgers, Rooster’s Wood-Fired Kitchen, and new-to-market concepts Postino WineCafe and Fly Kid Fly Coffee will open this summer.
Visitors can also enjoy Stream Park, a six-acre park designed for play of all ages, and the nearby greenway extension, which recently became a part of the Carolina Thread Trail.

Oro Ballantyne, a new 26-story apartment community with 356 units, hospitality-driven amenities and highly personalized services, will be the tallest residential tower in South Charlotte with ‘front door’ access to The Bowl. Oro will feature modern classic accents, statement lighting, elevated lounging and grand gathering experiences. With a mix of studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments, townhomes, and penthouses, Oro offers luxury living with one-of-a-kind elements, experiential features and picturesque views overlooking The Bowl. Amplifying the Entertainment Scene
The Amp Ballantyne continues to provide a convenient entertainment spot for the region. The venue kicked off the season with JJ Grey & Mofro in April and is hosting the Live at The Amp monthly concert series on Thursdays through October.
