John Garner recently joined the CLT Alliance as an investor relations associate. In his new role, John will work closely with the Investor Relations Team to support stakeholders and investors across the Charlotte Region.
“John’s work ethic and outgoing personality are an incredible asset, Allen Clark, vice president of investor relations, said. “He brings an introspective approach to relationship building that fosters natural collaboration and optimization. We are grateful to have him shepherding engagement with many of our organization’s investors and partners.”
Garner recently relocated to Charlotte with his wife, Maggie. Originally from Mississippi, Garner completed his bachelor’s degree in business administration and MBA at Mississippi State University. During his undergraduate studies, Garner was part of the Mississippi State Football team. While pursuing his MBA, he served as a graduate assistant for the College of Business Development.
His time working with the development team at MSU gave him valuable foundational experience in business development. The position gave him exposure to fundraising, stewardship, relationship building, and negotiation. He is excited to make a positive impact in Charlotte and is looking forward to creating new relationships in the region.
“I am excited to begin my career in Charlotte and am eager to cultivate meaningful, lasting relationships to contribute to the betterment of the place I now get to call home,” Garner said.
In his spare time, Garner enjoys golfing, flyfishing, and training his duck-hunting dog, Kimber.
