Select CLT charts targeted marketing efforts, expands international travel in 2024

The Select CLT Team prepares for another exciting year filled with travel and recruitment opportunities. They remain dedicated to their recruitment work, doubling down on their efforts and renewing their commitment to their value and purpose, intentionally marketing the region through travel and lead generation efforts. Through targeted marketing initiatives and innovative lead generation strategies, the team is poised to showcase the best of what our region has to offer and establish the region as a premier location worth exploring. 

Some key events the team will be attending include Collision, Interphex, and the Plastics Show, along with an international mission trip to Europe and some economic development professional opportunities with NCEDA and SCEDA.  

The goal for the team’s international travel is to build and expand their network for international business communities to have a local resource here to help its potential expansion into the U.S. market. The European Mission Gretchen Carson will be going on will be key to developing existing relationships and cultivating new ones while marketing and recruiting in countries including Germany and Austria.  

Eduardo Venegas and Kylie Barnes will be returning to Toronto, Canada, for the Collision Tech Conference to meet with companies in the global tech industry. As one of the world’s biggest tech conferences with more than 36,000 attendees, Select CLT will generate leads and bring exposure to the Charlotte Region as a strategic location for tech companies and startups alike to consider when growing and expanding their operations within the U.S market.  

Key domestic conferences and events that Select CLT will attend in the next two quarters include Interphex, the Plastics Show, and IAMC. Interphex is the leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology conference in the world held in New York. Karen Davison will be partnering with ElectriCities and EDPNC at Interphex to further their recruitment efforts for the region.  

The Plastics Show has more than 55,000 attendees from more than 100 countries represented. The exhibitions display innovations in plastic, materials, and manufacturing solutions that can advance business technologies in a variety of industries. Eduardo Venegas looks forward to learning about the innovative plastic industry and marketing the Charlotte Region among business decision makers and exhibitors attending the conference.  

IAMC will be an opportunity for the team to explore the latest trends and developments in the industrial real estate market. IAMC provides value given the strength of our manufacturing presence in the Charlotte Region and convenes economic developers, real estate, and service partners. 

With a strategic and meticulous approach, the team has 12 planned trips for Q1 and Q2. By showcasing the myriad advantages of setting up operations in the Charlotte Region, they aim to entice businesses to become part of the thriving business community. Through these efforts, the team is not just recruiting businesses, but also forging valuable partnerships that contribute to the region’s prosperity and success. The team is hopeful about the new year and excited for the economic development activity that is coming to the Charlotte Region.
