The Charlotte Regional Business Alliance is pleased to introduce Lauren Harley as the newest addition to the organization. Harley will serve as the government affairs associate on the advocacy team, leveraging her experience in communications, public relations, and local and state government to support the organization’s government affairs initiatives.
Prior to joining the CLT Alliance, Harley gained valuable experience at the South Carolina Office of Resilience. As the executive assistant to the chief resilience officer, she played a pivotal role in organizational operations, supporting communications, human resources, and administrative functions.
Harley is enthusiastic about her new role in advocating for policies that positively impact the Charlotte Region. She is excited to bring her exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking, and dedication to the position, aiming to drive positive change and promote the interests of Charlotte residents and businesses.
“Lauren is an excellent addition to the CLT Alliance Advocacy team,” Matt Panik, vice president of government affairs, said. “She has experience at the state government level, including strong communication skills, which will be important as the team messages its policy priorities to investors and policymakers.”
Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Harley relocated to Charlotte to attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she excelled both athletically and academically, as a student athlete while pursuing her bachelor’s degree in communications.
Harley has always been passionate about fostering connections and making a positive impact on her community. She participated in various community service initiatives, dedicating her time and efforts to various impactful projects during her time at Charlotte.
An avid sports lover, she frequently attends sporting events and actively engages in new sporting activities herself. She also enjoys trying new restaurants, reading, traveling, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
