Meet Joe Bost, senior vice president of government affairs at the CLT Alliance

Senior Vice President of Government Relations Joe Bost was hired by the Charlotte Chamber (now Charlotte Regional Business Alliance) in early 2017 to lead government relations for the organization.

Joe has nearly a decade of political experience, from intern to his current role. Bost oversees the pro-business, pro-regional policy agenda for the CLT Alliance, and lobbies at the federal, state, and local levels for the organization and its investors.

“Joe has great political instincts and I’ve seen firsthand his ability to work with decision makers on both sides of the aisle,” Chief Advocacy and Strategy Officer Kelly O’Brien said. “He’s a valuable member of the CLT Alliance advocacy team and I appreciate all he does.”

Prior to his current role, Joe served in numerous capacities for Congressman Patrick McHenry including campaign manager and regional representative from 2012-2017.

A native of San Diego, California, Bost holds his bachelor’s degree in political science from Lenoir-Rhyne University, and earned his MBA from Liberty University.

While Joe is an exceptional advocate for the business community of the Charlotte Region, he loses most of his lobbying efforts at home to his wife, Caroline. He is also the proud father of two young children, Sadie and Henry.
