Spotlight On: Nora Richmond | Looking ahead with gratitude

Nora Richmond

Leadership journeys rarely begin with a clear end in mind. As I look ahead to 2026, I am excited to serve my final year as chair of the Young Professionals Board with intention, energy, and a deep commitment to the work ahead. What started as a desire to get involved has evolved into an opportunity to help shape a community focused on connection, growth, and impact across the Charlotte Region.

The Young Professionals community connects emerging leaders committed to shaping what’s next for the region’s business and civic community. In 2026, my focus will be on contributing to that mission by supporting thoughtful programming, strengthening engagement, and helping ensure the YP Board continues to reflect the needs and ambitions of the region’s next generation of leaders.

Charlotte is a city defined by momentum. It is a place where opportunity, innovation, and collaboration intersect, and that is what makes this work so meaningful to me. I believe deeply in Charlotte’s potential and in the role young professionals play in shaping its future. The city’s continued growth depends on leaders who are invested not only in their own success, but in the success of the broader community.

Together, we are building a stronger Charlotte Region, led by its next generation of leaders. Serving on the Young Professionals Board during this period of growth has reinforced the importance of creating spaces where ideas are shared, relationships are built, and leadership is developed with purpose.

As I enter my final year on the YP Board, I am proud of what we are building and energized by what lies ahead. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to an organization that is helping shape the future of Charlotte.
