John Garner serves as investor relations manager at the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, where he leads engagement efforts with investors and stakeholders across the Charlotte Region. In his role, John works closely with business leaders and member companies to ensure strong alignment with the CLT Alliance’s economic development, advocacy, and growth initiatives.
Since joining the organization in 2024, John has played an active role in strengthening relationships, enhancing member engagement, and helping investors maximize the value of their partnership.
Originally from Mississippi, John earned both his Bachelor of Business Administration and MBA from Mississippi State University. As an undergraduate, he was a member of the Mississippi State Football team, an experience that shaped his discipline, teamwork, and competitive mindset. While pursuing his MBA, he served as a graduate assistant for the College of Business, where he gained hands-on experience in development operations, fundraising, stewardship, and strategic relationship management.
John and his wife, Maggie, relocated to Charlotte to build their life and careers in one of the nation’s fastest-growing regions. He is passionate about cultivating meaningful, long-term relationships that support business growth and strengthen the broader community.
Outside of work, John enjoys golfing, flyfishing, and training his duck-hunting dog, Kimber.
