Katie Pylipow joined the CLT Alliance team as the content creator in September 2021. After living in several other states, Katie said the Charlotte Region “captured her heart” and is happy to now call it home.
Katie has a passion for storytelling, something she discovered while working for her high school newspaper. Her love of sharing stories led her to study journalism, Spanish, and business at the University of Missouri. She then moved to Knoxville, Tennessee where she worked as a multi-platform producer for a TV news station for four years.
In her role at the CLT Alliance, Katie utilizes social media, the CLT Alliance Talks podcast and email marketing to share the news and accomplishments of the growing Charlotte Region.
“Katie has certainly made an impact in her few short months here at the CLT Alliance,” Chief Marketing and Communications Officer Rob Horton said. “Since she has joined, our social media platforms have continued to grow in both followers and engagement. Katie’s impact doesn’t end there, however. She has jumped in as a great team member, creating a positive impact for everyone at the CLT Alliance.”
In addition to writing, Katie loves to travel to and learn about new places and cultures. She has visited more than a dozen different countries where she has been able to enjoy her other interests: golf and trying new foods.
Katie says the best part about traveling and living in new places is learning about the community.
“The Charlotte Region has such a diverse community with so many different restaurants, activities and beautiful places to see,” Katie said. “I can’t wait to experience and learn more about the area.”
