Future leaders from across Charlotte Region complete 2025 Intern CLT program

Jessica Ruderman

This year’s Intern CLT program was packed with purpose, energy, and connection.

The Charlotte Regional Business Alliance was proud to welcome 145 interns from 32 different companies for an unforgettable summer experience. Now in its third year, the program continues to spotlight the Charlotte Region’s deep talent pool.

From a scavenger hunt along the Rail Trail—introducing interns to one of the vibrant neighborhoods they may soon call home—to an executive chat session offering real-world career insights, Intern CLT is designed to show young professionals why the Charlotte Region is the place to grow.

For employers, it’s an opportunity to position their interns as ambassadors while connecting them to a broader network of peers, all considering Charlotte as their future home.

“Intern CLT is more than a summer program—it’s a strategic investment in our region’s future workforce,” said Ashley Hedrick, vice president of marketing, communications, and engagement at the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance. “This year’s cohort brought incredible energy, and we’re excited to see so many of them already envisioning their careers here.”

We’re especially grateful for our sponsors who have been instrumental in supporting the next generation of talent.

“Coca-Cola Consolidated has been a proud sponsor of the CLT Alliance’s intern program since its inception,” said Christine Motherwell, senior vice president of human resources at Coca-Cola Consolidated. “We recognize the value in creating opportunities for our interns to connect with peers from other organizations, extending the impact of our summer program beyond the workplace. The CLT Alliance’s intern program enhances our interns’ experience by offering professional development, exposure to Charlotte’s vibrant community, and the chance to build meaningful networks across industries.”

  • Presenting Sponsors: Coca-Cola Consolidated, Duke Energy, and TTX
  • Gold Sponsors: JELD-WEN and McKenney’s
  • Silver Sponsors: JE Dunn Construction and Novant Health
