The Charlotte Regional Business Alliance has been named a Clean Energy Champion by the Chambers for Innovation & Clean Energy and Conservatives for Clean Energy North Carolina.
The CLT Alliance was one of six recipients of the award this year, which was presented during a luncheon at City Club Raleigh last week. The CLT Alliance was recognized for its efforts to help recruit additional clean energy investments and jobs to the region, while advocating for clean energy investors.
Chief Advocacy Officer Joe Bost accepted the award and acknowledged the coalition of businesses and leaders from across the 14-county region that have been helping to shape a business-friendly, clean-energy agenda.
“We would like to extend our appreciation to Chambers for Innovation & Clean Energy and Conservatives for Clean Energy North Carolina for recognizing our commitment to advancing clean energy initiatives,” Bost said. “We recognize the pivotal role clean energy plays in fostering a dynamic business environment where organizations here can thrive. We will continue to be the voice of business by advocating for clean energy investments that will positively impact the region’s residents and businesses.”
ABB E-mobility, the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, State Rep. Kyle Hall, Rep. Patrick McHenry, and Mystic Farm & Distillery were fellow recipients of the Clean Energy Champion awards.
“Year after year, North Carolina has been one of the top states in the country for clean energy jobs and economic investment,” Ryan Evans, executive director of Chambers for Innovation and Clean Energy. “CICE is proud to partner with – and recognize – the leadership of our Clean Energy Champions in the state, who ensure North Carolina continues to reap the economic benefits of clean transportation and clean energy. They have set a standard that other states should look to for innovation and forward-thinking economic sustainability.”
