Charlotte Regional Business Alliance Unveils ‘Portrait of Progress’

CLT Alliance Staff

The Charlotte Regional Business Alliance this week unveiled “Portrait of Progress,” a new publication that captures the momentum, innovation, and economic strength shaping the Charlotte Region.

Designed as a data-rich and visually compelling showcase, Portrait of Progress highlights the people, partnerships, and projects driving growth across the region’s 14-county footprint in North and South Carolina. The publication brings together economic data, industry insights, and storytelling to position the Charlotte Region on the national and global stage.

“Portrait of Progress tells the story of a region that continues to compete and win,” said Robert McCutcheon, CEO of the CLT Alliance. “It reflects the collaboration across our business community, local governments, and institutions that makes the Charlotte Region a place where companies and people can grow and succeed.”

The book spotlights key industries and major employers, including financial services, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, logistics, and energy, while also highlighting the infrastructure, talent pipeline, and quality of life that support long-term competitiveness.

Tracy Dodson, COO and head of economic development at the CLT Alliance, said the publication is both a marketing tool and a statement of confidence.

“This is a resource we can put in the hands of site selectors, corporate leaders, and partners to clearly demonstrate why the Charlotte Region stands out,” she said. “The data is strong, but the story behind it is even stronger.”

The official unveiling of Portrait of Progress took place at The Pearl, a timely setting for a publication focused on innovation, partnership, and forward-looking growth.

Portrait of Progress will be used as a key marketing asset to support business recruitment, investor engagement, and regional storytelling efforts throughout 2026 and beyond.
