Inc. magazine’s 2024 list of the 5,000 fastest-growing companies includes 61 companies in the Charlotte Region.

Inc. released its annual list this week, ranking companies based on three-year revenue growth from 2020 to 2023. The Inc. 5000 class of 2024 represents companies that have driven rapid revenue growth while navigating inflationary pressure, the rising costs of capital, and seemingly intractable hiring challenges, the magazine’s editors wrote.

The highest ranking company in the region is Top Tier Solar Solutions, a family-owned residential solar company based in Charlotte, which blasted onto the list in the No. 4 spot. A newcomer to the Inc. rankings, the company boasted three-year revenue growth of 41,101%. Top Tier Solar Solutions is the fastest growing vertically-integrated solar company in the nation, according to its website.

Charlotte-based finance software provider DebtBook ranked No. 39. The company, founded in 2019, supports government and nonprofit sectors.

“We’re super excited to be on the Inc. 5000 list for the first time,” Tyler Traudt, CEO of DebtBook, said. “The team here at DebtBook is incredibly tough and talented, our customers are highly engaged, and our partners believe in what we’re creating. We’ve got a lot of work to do, but we’re committed to helping treasury and accounting teams in government and nonprofit organizations do their best work and move their organizations forward.”

The Charlotte area’s 61 companies on the list posted combined median growth of 214% and added 6,270 new jobs over the past three years, according to analysis by the Charlotte Business Journal. Seventeen local companies rank in the top 1,000. Seven of the local honorees were founded less than five years ago. Thirty-five companies were repeat honorees.
