Charlotte Region among hottest job markets in the country

The Charlotte Region ranks among the top job markets in the country. According to a recent analysis of U.S. markets by Moody’s Analytics and The Wall Street Journal, the Charlotte market comes in at No. 16 on its list. 

Utilizing data provided by the U.S. Department of Labor, analysts determine the annual rankings based on five criteria: job growth, average unemployment rate in 2021, share of adults working or looking for work, change in the size of the labor force, and change in average weekly wages.

Markets were scored by the highest average ranking among the five categories. 

Austin, Texas, tops the list, followed by Nashville, Tennessee. Raleigh came in at No. 3.
