Aberdeen Carolina and Western Railway opens logistics park in Cabarrus County

The Aberdeen Carolina and Western Railway (ACWR) announced the opening of a 70-acre logistics park in Cabarrus County. The railway expects the new site to become a central distribution hub for the Charlotte Region.

Midland Logistics Park is anchored by the Midland Transload Yard, and includes three additional properties available for prospective rail customers. The yard can accommodate more than 175 railcars for transload, storing, distribution of raw materials, and finished goods. Several major plastic distributors have already claimed portions of the yard and are excited to consolidate their Charlotte operations in Midland.

The logistics park is a collaborative effort between the ACWR, its customers, and the North Carolina Department of Transportation Rail Division, which provided grant funding for the project.

The three additional properties on site vary in size and are available for industrial development. Two of the properties have direct rail access.
