Up Close with the YPs | Abbey Rampy, 2024 chair of the CLT Alliance Young Professionals

One of the greatest responsibilities is that of storytelling; it is the most powerful way to share ideas and create community. A connector, communicator, leader, and natural-born storyteller, Abbey Rampy is ecstatic to serve as the chair of the 2024 Charlotte Regional Business Alliance Young Professionals Board.

Although a Midwest gal at heart, Abbey’s pursuits both personally and professionally brought her to Charlotte in November 2020. Since joining the community, she’s built up her career around curiosity, empathy, and endurance, believing solutions come in many forms and most often in the most unexpected places. With a unique background in interior design (Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University – Boiler Up!) and continuous improvement, Abbey is a strategist at Gensler where she bridges client business goals with human-centered, people-first experiences, breathing life into big ideas. Alongside her clients, she reimagines the future of work through a mix of research, analytics, and design thinking.

As the 2024 chair, Abbey is thrilled to collaborate with the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance to bring these practices to the community at a local and regional level. She is honored to serve as one of the many voices of the region’s young professionals and early talent demographic, representing and shaping Charlotte’s future. This year, in particular, will focus on elevating these voices and rethinking engagement across all sectors, focusing on the region’s bright future. This community fosters innovation and leads with grace. It is an incubator for entrepreneurship and a lover of all people who inhabit it. As a storyteller, Abbey finds it refreshing to be a part of a city that celebrates its stories. Here’s to a New Year and the newest chapter!
