Spotlight on: Nora Richmond, CLT Alliance Young Professionals vice chair

“Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome.” – Arthur Ashe.

My journey in Charlotte began over eight years ago when I moved to a new city to begin my professional career shortly after graduating college (Go Heels!). Charlotte has not only become my home, but the city that has helped me grow into the young professional that I am today. Through the many twists and turns that life has to offer, I found myself embracing the opportunities that a growing city has to offer.

Connecting my passion of community service and doing my part to help shape Charlotte’s future, engagement in the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance’s Emerging Business Leaders Program and Young Professionals Board provided me with avenues to not only learn more about what makes Charlotte so special, but also to use my platform to elevate the voices of young professionals.

As the 2024 vice chair of the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance’s Young Professionals Board, I am excited to be a part of the work that will build future leaders in our community and change-makers who create the future we want to see. As we continue this journey together, be authentic, embrace your fears, bet on yourself, and push past the idea of perfectionism!
