Spotlight On: Gina Misch, research director for the CLT Alliance

Gina Misch

Gina Misch joined the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance as research director, bringing over 20 years of designing and leading research that helps organizations make better decisions. Her career spans regional planning, economic development, public health, digital health interventions, and nonprofit strategy, giving her a multidisciplinary perspective on the factors that shape thriving communities.

As research director, Gina leads the CLT Alliance’s research strategy, advancing thought leadership that helps position the Charlotte Region for long-term economic success. She oversees the development of data-driven insights that inform business recruitment, regional competitiveness, strategic planning, and public understanding of the economic forces shaping the region’s future.

Gina holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California and a Master of Arts in Sociology from Humboldt State University.

Outside of work, Gina remains active in the health and wellness field as the author of children’s and parent resources on mindfulness and well-being. She also advises organizations developing innovative digital wellness technologies that expand access to evidence-based support. When she’s not working, Gina enjoys kayaking and exploring the rivers and lakes throughout the Catawba-Wateree River Basin.
