Spotlight On: Daniel Webster, senior vice president of investor relations and business development for the CLT Alliance

Daniel Webster

Daniel Webster joined the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance on Jan. 2 as the senior vice president of investor relations and business development.

In this role, Webster serves as a senior leader responsible for investor engagement, revenue growth, strategic partnerships, and market expansion for the CLT Alliance. He leads growth strategies that build the organization’s investor base, expand the CLT Alliance’s market presence across key industries, and advance the region’s long-term competitiveness.

Throughout his career, he moved multiple times around the world in senior leadership roles, with a consistent personal focus on community building and business development. Prior to joining the CLT Alliance, he was a partner at PwC and held various senior leadership roles across the United States and Central and Eastern Europe. His background includes working with a diverse group of clients — from large, multinational public companies to private enterprises — supporting them through complex transactions such as IPO readiness, restructurings, acquisitions and divestitures, and assurance and audit services. Since moving to Charlotte in 2019, he has been active in the community, serving on various not-for-profit boards across Charlotte and North Carolina.

In his current role, Webster stewards key investor and partner relationships, identifies and executes strategic partnerships and alliance opportunities, and collaborates closely with the CLT Alliance’s economic development, advocacy, marketing, and finance teams to deliver integrated strategies that accelerate regional investment and opportunity.

“Daniel brings a rare combination of capital markets expertise, global leadership experience, and deep commitment to community impact,” said Tracy Dodson, COO and head of economic development for the CLT Alliance. “His leadership strengthens our ability to engage investors, expand strategic partnerships, and position the Charlotte Region for continued growth and competitiveness. Having worked closely with the CLT Alliance for more than six years as an investor, Daniel knows our mission and region well and is well positioned to hit the ground running.”

“As the Charlotte Region continues to grow at a rapid pace, I am excited to expand the CLT Alliance’s platform for connecting companies, capital, and communities,” Webster said. “I look forward to working alongside our investors, partners, and regional leaders to build partnerships that drive inclusive growth and long-term prosperity.”

Webster is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from West Virginia University.
