If you attended the CLT Alliance Annual Outlook meeting or reviewed the 2022 Annual Plan, you already know Darius Corry’s work.
Darius officially joined the CLT Alliance Marketing and Communications team this month after several months of doing graphic design work for the organization on a contract basis.
Prior to joining the CLT Alliance, Darius worked for Food Lion, Odyssey Logistics and Technology, and most recently at INSP entertainment network as the program coordinator for creative materials.
During his time as a graphic design contractor for the CLT Alliance, Darius’ contributions were noticed immediately.
“Darius has a passion for clean design and willingness to work hard,” Chief Marketing and Communications Officer Rob Horton said. “That made it an easy decision to make him a permanent part of the CLT Alliance team. I am looking forward to working with Darius to help reinforce the CLT Alliance brand in the Charlotte Region.”
A Washington, D.C. native, Darius was raised in neighboring Prince George’s County, Maryland. From the time he was a young boy, Darius had a passion for art, spending much of his free time drawing and expressing himself creatively.
Darius moved to Charlotte after graduating from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. Darius still enjoys drawing, painting and digital art.
“I can create anything from representational, like portraiture and still life, to stylized sequential arts, comics and storyboarding,” Darius said.
A self-proclaimed “huge geek,” Darius likes movies, comics, fashion of the second-hand variety, good food, and professional wrestling.
In fact, Darius himself is one half of a tag team. He and his wife live in Lancaster where they are raising a smart, curious, toddler son who would rather play than sleep. In what little free time he has, Darius can be found watching reality shows with his lady, and creating content for one of his two YouTube channels.
