Join Us in Supporting Hurricane Helene Relief

CLT Alliance Staff

The impact of Hurricane Helene on our region is unprecedented. The needs of the companies and people in the impacted areas are significant.

Many of you have asked how you can help. We have reached out to our partners throughout the region to understand what is needed and how best to support them. The resource list can be found here. Our social media channels and website will be updated regularly as new information becomes available.

In addition, the business community is establishing a Disaster Relief Fund for those affected by Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina.

Disaster Relief Fund donation options (administered by Foundation For The Carolinas FFTC):

  • On-line
  • Other Options (Please note the name of the fund in the memo line on the check or in the transfer instructions if giving via ACH, wire or stock. If you want to make a wire transfer, FFTC can send that information directly to you.)

Grants from the fund will be equally distributed to organizations who are already on the ground serving those in need – the United Way of North Carolina, the NC Community Foundation, the Community Foundation of Western NC, and the Red Cross.

As relief efforts undoubtedly continue to develop and mature, the FFTC will include language in the fund agreement that allows distributions to be made to other institutions as appropriate.

In the face of unimaginable loss and devastation, our neighbors in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina embody a remarkable spirit of resilience. Together, we can play a vital role in helping to rebuild lives and communities impacted by this disaster.
