Two CLT Alliance YP board members spotlighted with 40 Under 40 Awards

Young professionals are a crucial part to the growing workforce and overall success in the Charlotte Region. Not only do they bring a valuable contribution to the businesses they work for, they also help advance the community.

Every year, the Charlotte Business Journal honors some of the region’s stand-out young professionals with its 40 Under 40 Awards. This year’s list includes two members of the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance Young Professionals Board: Simón Muñoz-Alvarez and Nora Richmond.

“I am honored to be recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal as one of the 40 under 40 honorees in the 2023 class,” Richmond, who works for Grant Thornton, said. “To be recognized amongst a class of leaders who have made a significant contribution to the Charlotte Region is truly humbling and encouraging to continue to push the city forward. I am thankful for my mentors and supporters who have helped me navigate each journey throughout my career, and I am excited to continue creating the impact I want to see in the greater Charlotte Region!”

“I am extremely honored for this esteemed recognition. There are a lot of bright and strong leaders in the Queen City, so it’s quite an honor to be recognized among all the talented movers and shakers,” Muñoz-Alvarez, who works for Wells Fargo, said. “Candidly, it’s not something I take lightly, as I know that with such recognition comes greater responsibility. I’m looking forward to the continued growth of our community.”
