Spotlight On: Sophia Sevillano, economic development associate for the CLT Alliance

Sophia Sevillano

Sophia Sevillano serves as the economic development associate for the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance. In this role, she supports the economic development team through project coordination, CRM administration, and social media engagement.

Born and raised in England, Sophia moved to North Carolina in 2020 and now proudly calls Charlotte her second home. Before joining the CLT Alliance, she graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she earned degrees in Economics and International Studies with a minor in Spanish. During her time at the university, Sophia was deeply engaged with the local international community, serving as an exchange student mentor and vice president of the Filipino-American Student Union. Her personal background and educational experiences have fueled a strong passion for international relations and economic development.

After graduation, Sophia worked in Raleigh for a couple of non-profits where she supported the international community in the Triangle area. Now back in Charlotte, Sophia is excited to continue her professional growth while supporting the CLT Alliance in such impactful work.
