As a product of strong mentorship, I recognize the impact business leaders have on the personal and professional development of young professionals. Participating in Class 10 of the CLT Alliance Emerging Business Leaders program was a rewarding experience; It provided me with opportunities to connect with current and future business leaders to share knowledge and understand how complex problems are often solved with the help of business leaders.
As a new manager at the time of my participation, I wanted to develop skills that would help me empower and mentor others by understanding and developing my own leadership style; EBL provided me with just that. The program helped me learn how to adopt my leadership style to meet the needs of my team, enhance my skills for managing effective teams, and embrace diverse perspectives in decision making, which has helped me excel both personally and professionally.
Through the EBL program, I developed lasting relationships with class members and became more engaged with the CLT Alliance through the Young Professional Board. Each EBL session was thought provoking, allowed me to hear from thought leaders in the business community, and bring new ideas back to my company to increase employee engagement.
