Advocating for business | CLT Alliance marks key legislative milestones

The CLT Alliance Advocacy team has made significant strides in 2023, effectively advocating for seven critical legislative priorities across North and South Carolina. These priorities include Medicaid expansion, sports wagering, higher education funding, remote notary reform, and more. Additionally, we have spearheaded the composition of six coalition letters, championing crucial policies such as Medicaid expansion, child care, hate crimes law, and occupational licensing

We have fostered connections and encouraged collaboration among elected officials, leaders, and policymakers through our advocacy programming, with more than a dozen impactful programs hosted by the CLT Alliance thus far. These events delve into a diverse array of legislative topics and feature prominent government figures from both Carolinas. The CLT Alliance has also hosted three capital receptions in Columbia, Raleigh, and Washington, DC, serving as pivotal platforms for investors and policymakers to engage in transformative discussions that shape our region.

These successes are rooted in the partnerships and collaborations that drive them and we could not do this without the support of our investors. We value your commitment to moving the Charlotte region forward.

As we mark these achievements, the Advocacy team has ensured our investors are apprised of these successes and other legislative developments through Advocate newsletters that are distributed bi-weekly. Sign up here for the latest advocacy news announcements.
