Better.com Joins HBCU Partnership Challenge
In a press release earlier this week, Better.com announced its commitment to the Congressional Bipartisan HBCU Caucus’ HBCU Partnership Challenge.
"We're proud to be a diverse company in the heart of the Queen City, and we're excited to partner alongside such a respected member representing the community in Congresswoman Adams," said Demi Knight Clark, Head of Charlotte Region for Better.com. "Many of our local Better.com staff are proud alumnae of HBCUs and are looking forward to partnering with their schools to further diversify our local teams with top talent."
Through the convening of private partners, HBCU leaders and members of Congress, the Bipartisan HBCU Caucus seeks to facilitate conversations and relationships that will continue to showcase the important role HBCUs play in curating the talent pipeline. Launched in 2018, the Caucus’ Partnership Challenge’s goal is to promote greater engagement and support between private companies and HBCUs across the state through encouraging participating organizations to make greater investments in HBCUs.
Better.com is part of the latest group of companies to sign on to the challenge.
“Building a best-in-class company requires creating an environment where different skill sets, backgrounds, and opinions can come together to create a culture of empowerment and meaning. A diverse workforce enables an environment that sparks innovation, challenges convention, and provides everyone an equal opportunity to do meaningful work for our customers,” said Arthur Matuszewski, VP Talent at Better.com. “As a company that's hiring rapidly, we're honored and privileged to work with HBCUs to ensure we continue building a diverse workforce with the very best talent.”
