The Alliance’s economic development team is racking up the miles in the air and on the road. The team has visited 14 of the organization’s 15 member counties, traveled to three countries in Europe, and met with corporate executives and site consultants in multiple cities across the U.S. in recent weeks.
Sven Gerzer, European Sector, traveled to Germany, Austria and Italy where he connected with existing investors, multipliers and prospects. It’s the first of four mission trips planned for Europe in 2019.
The Rowan Economic Development Commission joined forces with the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance to sponsor the sold-out Site Selectors Guild Conference held in Salt Lake City, Utah last month. “Rowan’s sponsorship further demonstrates their aggressive approach to marketing their community within our region and we look forward to successful results from the conference,” said Kati Hynes.
Marvin Price is in Dallas this week attending LiveXchange where he’ll meet one-on-one with 16 corporate executives and site consultants representing companies ready to expand or relocate their business.
Following LiveXChange, Marvin will be joined by Kati Hynes and Kendall Henderson, director of business development for Rowan Economic Development, to begin the Alliance’s first of two scheduled Dallas Consultant Missions. Between April 9 and 11, they will meet with 17 site location consultants from 11 different consulting firms.
The team will finish out the week in Dallas at Consultant Connect, a two-day summit where developers are able to meet individually with some of the most prominent site selection consultants in the country.
Locally, Asian Sector Lead Eileen Cai joined other industry leaders for a panel discussion on International Business at UNC Charlotte.
