Volunteer Opportunities

CHARLOTTE REGIONAL BUSINESS ALLIANCE CAMPAIGN
Campaign volunteers secure financial support for the Alliance mission through a 12-week effort. Members can lead their own company or industry team, or volunteer on an existing team to sell memberships, advertising and sponsorships. This opportunity also allows you to network and develop strong relationships with nearly 80 business professionals who volunteer. Campaign is a great way to make a difference, build relationships and have fun.

Each of the four chapters - North, South, Central and Ballantyne - hosts networking events, luncheons and an annual signature event. Charlotte Regional Business Alliance members are eligible to serve on the boards of their home chapter, pending open seats and application process. (Home chapter is determined by the zip code of your business.)

ALLIANCE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
In an effort to connect our members to the valuable resources in our community, we have launched the Charlotte Alliance Mentorship Program. Connecting through our mobile app, an individual is able to identify their needs for either becoming a mentor or seeking mentorship through our network. Participants will be matched accordingly based on an informational survey.

LEGISLATIVE AGENDA TASK FORCE*
This task force reviews issues and makes recommendations for the chamber’s annual legislative agenda. At a series of meetings, Charlotte Regional Business Alliance members and partner organizations present their organizations’ legislative priorities. In a final “voting day” meeting, committee members decide which priorities to recommend for inclusion in the Alliance’s final agenda. This final document dictates the issues the chamber will advocate on behalf of the Charlotte business community. Members include business leaders as well as lobbyists at member companies. The task force typically meets in the quarter before the North Carolina General Assembly convenes.
