We invite you to join us for Good Talks, hosted by Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont. Good Talks is a series of events designed to connect individuals who want to explore new ideas, perspectives and potential solutions for individuals and families seeking opportunities for economic advancement.

We know that people in our city face great odds when it comes to achieving economic mobility. However, the way we describe people in poverty can put them in a box. How are the biases we have toward poverty sabotaging opportunities for people looking to improve their economic status?

This Good Talks event will provide an opportunity to explore how our biases can pigeonhole people in poverty and prevent them from receiving the support they need to be successful. Together, we will learn to overcome these preconceptions in order to create change. Join us to become part of the solution and help elevate individuals who are struggling to improve their economic status.

Food and beverages will be provided.
