We're All in This Together

Your CLT Alliance continues to work each day to create the most vibrant, innovative and healthy economy in the nation.  While this may seem to be a challenging task at the moment, our team and our regional partners are up to the challenge!  Today, the CLT Alliance instituted a weekly call with our regional chamber partners.  We're committed to convening leaders across the entire Charlotte Region to mobilize, collaborate and execute initiatives that will ensure the health and vibrancy of our economy.

The underlying theme of today’s call was uncertainty.  Uncertainty about how long the pandemic will last.  Uncertainty about how and when the government will respond.  Uncertainty about the negative impacts on business and workers in our region and beyond.  The CLT Alliance and our chamber partners are acutely aware of the feeling of unease within our communities and region as a whole.  We're collaborating to ensure the Charlotte Region and its business and industries are up to date with the latest information on news, legislation, resources and assistance programs and initiatives. Each day, we're updating the counties information on our COVID-19 website portal. Click here to see it.

During these unprecedented times, it's important our partners know the CLT Alliance and regional chambers are tirelessly working to continue to provide opportunities. Here's a look at some of the outreach occurring:

  • The Matthews Chamber is working with Central Piedmont’s Small Business Center to offer biweekly resource calls and webinars.  (More to come when this program is up and running.)
  • The Cleveland County Chamber has initiated a restaurant promotion program to support the “To-Go” effort in their community.
  • The Cabarrus Chamber will host a Facebook Live Town Hall Thursday, March 26 at 10 a.m. with Congressman Richard Hudson and other leaders from their community.

The CLT Alliance is committed to working with our partners to ensure the Charlotte Region continues to thrive and prosper.  We will continue to be the voice of business in the Charlotte Region and keep you up to date on the hard work and progress that is occurring throughout our 15 counties.  We appreciate the support and engagement with our regional economic development and chamber partners.  Rest assured, the Charlotte Region is in good hands!
