Financial Services, Advanced Manufacturing and Transportation & Infrastructure all play a commanding role in driving forward the Charlotte region. Economic development efforts in the region aim to recruit and grow companies, as well as ensure that talent availability and infrastructure plans can accommodate smart, sustainable development and inclusive economic growth.

The Charlotte Regional Business Alliance is proud to convene programs that will enable our bi-state region to compete for investment and advance prosperity for all. We invite you to join us for the 2019 Summit.

The Summit is a full-day event discussing varying perspectives, trends and data in key industries. This year the agenda features speakers who are experts in the Financial Services, Advanced Manufacturing and Transportation & Infrastructure fields.

Throughout the day the programs will emphasize actionable takeaways that will assist attendees in further strengthening the competitive assets the Charlotte region has to offer.

Keynote Speaker

Megan McConnell, Associate Partner, McKinsey & Company, The Future of Work in America: People and Places, Today and Tomorrow

What does work look like in the future, and is the Charlotte region well positioned? The Future of Work is a comprehensive study of labor trends and the adaptability of local economies in the age of automation. The study identifies 13 community architypes each with a diverse set of challenges that disrupt assumptions with a focus on those in our region.

Leadership Lunch Session

Mayor Harvey Gantt  |  Hugh McColl

To have a vision is critical to enhancing your community. The ability to activate and measure the outcomes of that vision are what make a leader. During our leadership lunch session, we will hear from two of our region’s legendary trailblazers as they tell us why civic engagement and accountability are values that are more important now than ever before. We will discuss what is needed to ensure our communities continue to have an outlook for a promising, inclusive future for all of our residents.
