More than 110,000 people work in the advanced manufacturing industry in Charlotte Region. 

Our manufacturing sector has grown and diversified through the decades. Countless firms here specialize in sophisticated intelligent manufacturing fields. Manufacturing accounts for about 10% of the N.C. workforce, but more than 20% of economic output, making the Charlotte region a prime place for relocating or expanding manufacturing companies.  Advanced  manufacturing is 25% more concentrated in the Charlotte region than the national average however, has the increased presence of automation changed our economic focus? 

What is the current state of robotics and automation in the manufacturing industry and what makes this such a significant discussion today?

Join the South Chapter as we take a dive into the questions stated above and more. We will discover how robots can ultimately lead humans to find more meaningful work within a corporation while exploring the unforeseen benefits.  You will have the opportunity to tour the Hyster-Yale Experience Center and view a state of the art robotics demonstration.
