Small businesses in the spotlight for month of May

City of Charlotte

The first week of May is deemed U.S. Small Business Administration’s Small Business Week. But here in the Queen City, we’re celebrating all month long!

Mayor Vi Lyles has proclaimed that May is Small Business Month. The City of Charlotte kicked off the month with their annual Small Business Month Networking Kickoff event. Almost 200 small businesses and small business Resource Partners came out to celebrate. The City also recognized the Amp Up Alumni that participated in the #31DaysofBiz campaign.

Check out the great events planned for Charlotte Innovation Week starting on May 15th.

To learn more about upcoming events, follow the City of Charlotte’s Economic Development social media.  They will be highlighting local businesses all month long.

Happy Small Business Month!
