The Charlotte Regional Business Alliance® is pleased to announce Karen Davison has joined the team as the new director of business recruitment.
In her new role, Karen will lead strategies for inbound prospect recruitment efforts for the bi-state, 15-county Charlotte Region.
“Charlotte’s growth and success is no longer a secret! I am extremely excited to join CLT Regional Business Alliance’s Economic Development team during this exciting time,” Davison said. “I look forward to working with the CLT Alliance team, stakeholders, partners and allies to continue to attract great companies, entrepreneurs and talent to our energetic 15-county Charlotte Region.”
Karen joins the CLT Alliance from the Charleston Regional Development Alliance (CRDA), a similar economic development organization aiding companies evaluating the Charleston Region for competitive business investments. “Karen’s background in strategic industries of focus for our region, specifically life sciences and OEM auto manufacturing, will bring key expertise to our team,” Chief Business Recruitment Officer Danny Chavez said. “Her experience working in South Carolina’s economic development ecosystem will be critical to our goals as a bi-state regional economic development organization, and we are ecstatic to have her join our team.”
Prior to CRDA, Karen worked for global law firm, K&L Gates. In that role, she supported the business development and marketing activities for the firm’s Charleston office, global real estate practice and several of the firm’s industry practice sectors including economic incentives, automotive, health care and aerospace.
Karen earned a Bachelor of Science in both Business Administration and Hospitality & Tourism.
