Meet Jhemara Miller, project assistant at the CLT Alliance

Jhemara Miller began working with the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance’s legacy organization, the Charlotte Chamber, in 2017. Starting as a part time receptionist, Jhemara has worked her way up to a Project Assistant role. She supports most CLT Alliance teams including Research, Business Development, Engagement, SLT, and CORE.

“Jhemara is a great asset to our organization,” CLT Alliance Chief Financial Officer Joaquin Soria said. “She is always willing to embrace new projects and challenges; she has a creative mind and constantly brings new ideas and suggestions on how to improve our operations, we are very happy to have her as a member of our team.”

Jhemara is passionate about assisting the CLT Alliance with reaching goals—no matter how big or small the task. She prides herself on being industrious and efficiently completing whatever needs to get done in the moment for the success of the business.

“I admire Jhemara’s confidence she has through ingenuity and her desire to learn; she has brought inspiration and fun to the CLT Alliance team with her ideas,” CLT Alliance Vice President of Accounting and Personnel Karen Runyon said.

Jhemara is also a multidisciplinary fine artist and entrepreneur who loves to paint, sew, make jewelry, ceramics and more. Her small business, Formerly Clay, is a sustainable clothing brand.

“As a small business owner and entrepreneur, I am thrilled to work at the CLT Alliance,” Jhemara said. “Every day, I witness my organization assemble the building blocks of a successful business community. I have made so many lasting connections and see the potential for even more. I love seeing cranes on our skyline and knowing that we can directly and positively affect those new businesses and the people who fill those buildings.”
