Meet Annie Wilson, investor relations manager at the CLT Alliance

Annie Wilson joined the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance in the fall of 2021. In her role as the investor relations manager, she works with Champion level investors. Each day, Annie works to convey the mission of the CLT Alliance, supports investors to ensure they are getting what they need, as well as works to grow and retain these relationships. She also collaborates with investors to promote and advance the Charlotte Region, creating opportunity, economic growth and prosperity for all.

“Annie excels as the liaison to our Champion-level investors, helping to maximize their involvement in the CLT Alliance. Annie is also adept at cultivating relationships and bringing new investors to our organization,” Chief Development & Investor Relations Officer Kari Hackett said.

A 2001 graduate of University of North Carolina at Charlotte, now known as “Charlotte,” Annie obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. After college, she began working in the field of mental health, cultivating a passion for helping others through their challenges. After several years of linking, coordinating, monitoring, and scheduling for clients, she returned back to graduate school in 2010 finishing in 2013 with a master’s degree in health service administration. Annie continued her career in mental health, working as a professional community liaison/marketing representative. She made the leap to the CLT Alliance to advance her career based on her knowledge and ability to build relationships.

“I have a passion for connecting and building meaningful relationships; as the investor relations manager I’m able to do that daily,” Annie said. “I get to meet with professionals from different industries and backgrounds who not only value but are also committed to the growth of this region.”

In her spare time Annie enjoys traveling, attending sporting events, finding a good coffee shop and anything self-care related. She is the proud mother of one son and a member of Hickory Alumnae Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She also enjoys being able to volunteer in various community activities and being a mental health advocate.
